Starting Of Carrier
Mohammed Siraj started playing cricket on the streets of Hyderabad and was noticed by former Indian cricketer and Hyderabad captain, Mohammed Azharuddin, who saw potential in him. Azharuddin then helped Siraj get into the Hyderabad team and supported him throughout his early cricketing career. Siraj has since then gone on to represent India in international cricket and is regarded as one of the rising stars in Indian cricket.
First debut
Mohammed Siraj made his first-class debut for Hyderabad in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy season and had an impressive start to his career, taking 41 wickets in just 9 matches in his debut season. His standout performances in domestic cricket earned him a call-up to the India A team and eventually led to his selection in the Indian cricket team for the T20I series against New Zealand in 2017. Siraj’s consistent performances in domestic cricket also helped him secure an IPL contract with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2017.
2017 IPL First debut
He was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) season and played a crucial role in SRH’s title-winning campaign, taking 10 wickets in 6 matches.
2018 IPL Auction
In the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Mohammed Siraj was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 2.6 crore (approximately USD 380,000 at the time). He has been a regular member of the RCB squad since then and has played an important role as a fast bowler in the team. Siraj has shown good form in the IPL, taking wickets and contributing to RCB’s performances in the tournament.
Test Match Against Of New-Zealand
Siraj made his international debut for India in a T20I (Twenty20 International) match against New Zealand on 4th November 2017 in New Delhi. Although he went wicketless in the match, he bowled well and showed promise with his pace and swing. Siraj has since then played several T20Is and ODIs for India and has also made his Test debut for the country.
